POLICY FOR PROVIDING FREE MEALS FOR SCHOOL DIVISIONS PARTICIPATING IN THE COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP) FOR ALL SCHOOLS IN THE DIVISION
July 1, 2026
Bristol Virginia Public Schools is pleased to announce its policy for providing free meals to all enrolled students under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2026–2027 school year.
Through participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a program established by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, every school in the division will offer both breakfast and lunch meals each school day at no cost to students or their families. These meals will be available to all enrolled students, regardless of income level, and no meal application forms are required to receive them.
This initiative underscores the division’s commitment to supporting student well-being and academic achievement by ensuring that every child has access to nutritious meals throughout the school year.
