We want to make our families aware of an important update from Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems (SVCHS). Due to significant reductions in federal funding, SVCHS has announced that its school-based health clinics will be suspended for the 2026–2027 school year.

We appreciate the partnership with SVCHS and the care they have provided to our students, families, and staff through the school clinics.

Families who previously utilized school-based health clinic services may continue receiving pediatric care at the SVCHS Community Health Center in Bristol. Students' medical records will remain within the SVCHS health system. Same-day pediatric appointments are often available, and families are encouraged to contact the Community Health Center to schedule an appointment when needed.
