VHS All -Virginia State Choir

Four outstanding student musicians represented Virginia High School with excellence this weekend as they participated in the prestigious All‑Virginia Choir event held in Richmond.

Tyler Leach, Mandi Regin, Val Hogston, and Eden Slaughter were selected as All‑VA Choir delegates—an honor reserved for some of the most talented young vocalists across the Commonwealth. Their participation follows a highly competitive audition process that recognizes musical skill, dedication, and artistry at the highest level.

The students spent the weekend collaborating with top conductors and fellow singers from across Virginia, rehearsing and performing challenging choral repertoire. Their performances showcased not only technical precision but also expressive depth, earning well‑deserved praise for a job exceptionally well done.

“I could not be more proud of them,” shared their choir director, Mr. Joe Jessee, following the event. “Trust me—this music is incredible and truly worth hearing.”

The choir’s performance recordings will be shared once they are officially released, giving the community a chance to hear the remarkable results of the students’ hard work.

When you see Tyler, Mandi, Val, or Eden, be sure to congratulate them on this outstanding achievement. Their success is a point of pride for their school and a testament to the power of dedication, teamwork, and a love of music. 🎶👏
