We are proud to announce that Mrs. Heather Lawson, a teacher at Virginia Intermediate School, has been selected as the 2025 DARE Educator of the Year for the Commonwealth of Virginia! This award, the Lakey/Bentley Award, recognizes a teacher who demonstrates exceptional dedication and goes above and beyond their regular teaching duties to support the DARE program. This award was presented to Mrs. Lawson by Sheriff Tyrone Foster and DARE Deputy Adam Sutherland.
