Congratulations to Darlene Becker! A colleague nominated Darlene to be recognized as one of the BEST of the Bearcats, and in response, this truly humble woman declared, “Members [nurses] of my team deserve this far more than me!” Over the last few years, Darlene and her staff have continually provided exceptional support to faculty and students throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

April Chapman is the school secretary of Highlandview Elementary school. April is known to stay late without being asked; she is always stepping up. This sweet lady is “the glue that has kept together” and “serves as the mom for the whole school.” April fills in the gaps that nobody else thinks about, but most importantly, she does it every day with a smile.

Summer Price is a teacher at Joseph Van Pelt, but her passion for students goes beyond her grade classroom. During virtual learning, she has been known to deliver supplies to students personally. She goes above and beyond as she advocates for her students, even though they have already moved on from her class.
