let's review some probability vocabulary probability is the chance an event will happen what time is a possible result of a game or experiment or example have the spinner out possible outcomes we can get a red green blue or orange an impossible event is an event that will never happen in fact you are earlier examples of when we said it he could never fly that it is impossible for it to rain cats and dogs an unlikely is Ian is in advance that probably won't happen he thinks that you are number lines the unlikely events are between impossible and equally likely the bottom half of our normal on and they are less than 1/2 and greater than zero equally likely outcomes are outcomes that have the same chance of happening or example if you're flipping the coin your chance of getting heads is the same do cancer getting tails Alaska events is an event that will probably happen so if you think I took the number line these are the events that are between easily and certain the probabilities are greater than 1/2 but less than 1 a certain event is an event that is sure to happen it's like when your birthday comes your sure to be a year older or if today is Tuesday and tomorrow is for sure or for starting to be Wednesday a possible event is an event that might or might not happen just like it may are may not rain fair game is a game in which each player is equally likely to win his slack if you and a friend were to play a game where you both rolled some dies in the higher Underwood win game is there because it's left up to chance either one of you could win all the pants you can roll the highest number and that does not require any skills either you're lucky or not
