Bristol Virginia Public Schools intends to request an Ed-Flex waiver from the Virginia Department of Education to exceed the 15 percent carryover limitation for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Title I, Part A funds. The requested waiver would allow the school division to exceed the statutory 15 percent carryover limitation for Title I, Part A funds. The waiver would provide Bristol Virginia Public Schools with additional flexibility to utilize unspent Title I funds to continue supporting academic programs, intervention services, instructional resources, professional learning, and other activities designed to improve student achievement for eligible students during the subsequent fiscal year. The division invites parents, educators, and community stakeholders to provide feedback regarding this request.
