Extended Education

This page will have any information regarding the extended school closure.  Please, check it daily as everything is likely to change at the drop of a hat.

Currently you can expect your first assignment on Wednesday 3/18/2020. All assignments will be available on PowerSchool. https://bvps.learning.powerschool.com/

Many assignments will be review; however, some new material will be covered. If a new topic is covered it will be covered again in class provided there is time but it will be at a faster pace.

Neglecting to do any assignments over our extended closure may put you in a bad position upon returning to school especially if you did not have a good grasp on the material before you left. If you have trouble for any reason please email me at [email protected].

If you need your Ixl password please email me.

If you have not yet checked unified classroom or picked up a packet I once again remind you to check and you need to get started as you are already behind. (You ca easily catch up and if you look at the schedule you can see I even left you some time to do so)

The school has decided to not let anyone turn any papers back into the school so instead just send me a picture of your completed work through email or contact me if that is not possible I will be glad to work with you to figure out a solution. I apologize for the inconvenience.

New packets will be available on Monday evening unless something goes wrong

Tentative Schedule for the foreseeable future

3/30-4/3

This week we will continue as we have been doing and work on unified classroom (under class pages if you have not checked yet) just like this week there will be a daily assignments and videos for you to complete for each day. These will all be review assignments.   A packet will be available at school.

4/6-4/13

I will send out new IXL passwords this week.

This week would normally have been spring break. However they canceled spring break. Thus, I have decided to use this week as a make up week for both those who have not started and those who did not pass last semester.   If you did not pass last semester or are unhappy with a grade there will be several assignments on Unified classroom you can do to boost you score and hopefully get a passing or grade you are happy with if you so choose to do so. If you have not started please start asap do not wait for this week to start. If you have finished everything and are happy with your grade feel free to enjoy this week to the fullest as I will not assign any mandatory work this week. 😊

4/14-5/22

Starting this week we will begin covering new material and occasionally reviewing. Each new section will be listed as a module. It is Imperative that you do these assignments prior to the end of the grading period. Failure to complete any of these assignment would leave you unprepared for next year. Each module will take one to two weeks. Each module will consist of several sections each with at least a video explaining the concept, a practice classwork assignment with a worked out answer key that you do not have to turn in, a homework assignment (most likely ixl) and a daily quiz which will be turned into me. Completing each assignment will allow you to move on without any difficulties next year. Paper copies will be available but I also hope to have videos to download onto your computer if you need them.  Contact me if you have any difficulties or questions.

Hope to see you soon,

Mr. White
