  • RP = Recertification Points – (1 hour = 1 Recertification Point)

    • These activities must be approved by the Principal or Assistant Superintendent prior to the event and may be earned during contracted time.  Please refer to the VDOE Licensure Renewal Manual for more information.

  • IID = Individual Improvement Days – Teachers must work 3 days (15 hours total).

    • Individual Improvement Days are defined as time participating in professional development that is NOT during contracted time.  It can be after school hours and/or on days school is not in session.  To earn one IID, you must attend a PD that is 5 hours in length.  It must be approved by the Assistant Superintendent.  IID hours may also be counted as Recertification Points.
