VHS held an EXPO event on Thursday, February 1, 2024, in the cafeteria to promote CTE and elective courses offered to all students at VHS. This event included classes such as Auto Mechanics, Building Trades, Computer Information Systems, Cosmetology, Bearcat Bridge, Astronomy, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Early Childhood Development, Foreign Language, and Band.

 

Communities in Schools of Appalachian Highlands supported the event with refreshments and had students complete a scavenger hunt of all the presenters. When a student got a signature from each presenter and turned that into Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands at the end of their tour around the cafeteria that student's name went into a drawing for a $25 gift card. The winner was drawn and will be presented at school on Friday, February 2nd.
