2021 Young Poet in the Community
Leah Gunn has been chosen by the poet laureate for Virginia as 1 of only 11 high school students in Virginia as a "2021 Young Poet in the Community,"
Leah is a student at Virginia High School and is the sole 9th grader and the only student from the western region selected to be part of this prestigious community.
As part of this honor, she will be developing a plan to increase teen poetry in the community.
