We are very excited about the progress that is being made on our new intermediate school! Work will begin on the footprint and new road later this week. We will be providing a blasting schedule very soon. In the meantime, there are some important updates to share.

1. First, we will be adding a temporary parking lot at the western side of Van Pelt. The parking lot will be at the corner of Grandview Road and Spring Hill Terrace. The plan is to have the parking lot available by August 10. See the attached document for more details.
2. Second, access to Colony Circle from the eastern side of the parking lot is now only available as an emergency entrance for first responders. Once the new road is complete, that access will be removed permanently. Until the new road is complete, we will have to make temporary changes to our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. Maps showing those traffic patterns are attached. Once the new road is complete, drop-offs and pick-ups will be made at the east entrance of Van Pelt Elementary. Again, this is a temporary change, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
