Nov. 8: Sign up Information for Virtual Townhall Meeting with VDH

Dear Parents,

We are happy to announce that on Monday, November 8th, at 6:00 p.m., Bristol Virginia Public Schools will partner with the Mount Rogers Health District, to provide a virtual Townhall Meeting to provide information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine for students ages 5-11. Information will be provided by staff of the Mount Rogers Health District and an opportunity will be available for a few questions to be submitted.

We are thankful that Mount Rogers Health District is willing to provide this informational sessional and we want to reiterate that this is an informational session and not a forum for debate. We understand and respect that there is a multitude of views and beliefs about the vaccine but this session is available to provide information.

In order to receive a link to the Zoom meeting, please email [email protected] and include your name and student’s name in the subject line. If you would like to submit a question in advance, please include it in this email.

Attached you will find a memo from the Health Department. As you will see, we are offering an opportunity for students ages 5-11 to receive the vaccine at Van Pelt Elementary beginning at 3:00 on November 10. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Thank you,

Keith Perrigan, Ed.D.
