| Financial Aid workshops are being offered at Virginia Highlands Community College on Monday, February 8, 6:00-8:00, Saturday, February 27, 11:00-1:00, and Thursday, March 18, 6:00-8:00. Financial Aid officers will be available to help parents complete the FAFSA form online if you bring a copy of your completed 2009 tax returns with you. You do not have to plan to attend VHCC to participate in the workshops. | Virginia Highlands Community College is offering SAT Prep classes. This is a great opportunity to prepare for the March 13 test. Students may take the math review or verbal review or both. The cost is $89 for either portion. The math portion will be offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings, February 8-16, 6:00-9:00. The verbal review will be offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings, February 22-March 2, 6:00-9:00. Students may register by calling 276.739.2430. | Students who volunteer in the community and document the hours can become part of Citizens in Action. Any student that documents 25 volunteer hours, has a GPA of at least 2.0, and meets attendance requirements will be eligible to apply for free tuition at Virginia Highlands Community College for two years. Students must document 25 hours of community service three of the four years at Virginia High School (including the senior year). | ||
