Ina A. Danko is a native of Church Hill, Tennessee.  She was educated in the Hawkins County School System and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Arts Degree with teaching certifications from East Tennessee State University.   Ms. Danko continued her post graduate work in the areas of Administration and Supervision and Special Education.   She has classroom experience in North Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee, at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in addition to her work in Special Education.   Prior to her retirement from the Tennessee educational system, Ms. Danko worked as a teacher and coach as well as serving as Assistant Principal at Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, Tennessee.  She came to Bristol in 2001 to assume the duties as Principal of Virginia Middle School.  She was transferred to the position of Principal of Virginia High School the following year.   Ms. Danko was named Superintendent of Schools for the Bristol Virginia Public Schools on July 1, 2008.
