All About Me

Hello! I am Ms. Hawthorne. It is my pleasure to be teaching your children this year. Teaching is my passion. I love to see children learn new skills. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten. I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. I went back to school in 2001 and completed my Elementary teaching license requirements in 2004 from Old Dominion University and University of Virginia. I have worked as a teacher and administrator at Spring Garden Preschool located in State Street United Methodist Church and was a long term substitute teacher in the Bristol Virginia School system during my most recent schooling to become a teacher.

I have three beautiful children (if I may say so myself). I have a daughter, Taylor Jessee.. . She loves to read, scrapbook and spend time with her friends. I have a son, Lance Jessee.  He loves to skateboard, play baseball and basketball. I also have a sweet baby girl. She was born on June 2, 2006. Her name is Meredith Hawthorne. She loves to smile and coo. I love being a mommy to my three great children!!

Growing up I lived in Johnson City, Tennessee. I attended Science Hill High school where I was a cheerleader and student government officer. I have a very close family. My mother and father still live in JC and love being grandparents to my children.
