About Mrs. Shivar: After graduating from James Madison University, I began teaching in 1977and have been teaching in some capacity ever since. All but six years of my teaching experience has been in public schools. I have taught at the primary, elementary and middle school levels. The last 17 years I have been teaching at VMS. My husband and I have been married for 26 six years. I have one daughter, three step-daughters, four son-in-laws, three grandchildren and a dog named Paige.
