Hearing
Screenings are done in the area of Pure Tone testing.
- Students
pass the screening if they are able to hear all sounds
presented at 25dB.

- 0-20 dB is the range
for normal hearing
- 21-45 dB is
considered a Mild hearing loss
- 46-60 dB is
considered a Moderate hearing loss
- 61-75 dB is
considered to be a Moderately severe hearing loss
- 76-90 dB is
considered to be a Severe hearing loss
- 91
+ dB is considered to be a Profound hearing loss
