first grade supplies

First Grade Supply List

Please purchase supplies for your first grader using the following list. He / she will need them on the first day of school. Please put your child's name on the workbox, the scissors and the glue bottle.

* Book bag or backpack, labeled with child's name

* Workbox to hold your child's school supplies (cigar
box size, not the extra large size)
* Two (2) bottles, medium or large size - Elmer's white glue

(No gel or glue sticks)

* Two (2) boxes of crayons - box of 16 or 24

* One (1) spiral notebook for journal writing
* One (1) pair scissors - Fiskars brand with the sharp point is best
* One (1) bottle of liquid anti-bacterial soap
* One (1) box of facial tissues (Kleenex, Puffs)

* One (1) one-inch solid color 3-ring binder notebook (Avery is good)

* One (1) box of baggies - used for sorting manipulatives for math
and spelling, as well as special projects

* Paper/pencil fee of $10.00 - This fee covers all writing
         paper and pencils your child will use at school. We
         purchase in bulk so they will be uniform in type and
         size. This fee also covers the cost of Scholastic News,
         which we use for reading, science, social studies
         instruction, and enrichment.
