Philosophy of Highland View Elementary

At Highland View we believe in the education of the "whole" child, academically, socially, and emotionally.  Children enter through our doors with a variety of background experiences, academic abilities, and special needs.  Our challenge is to address these needs and to enable our students to become successful, fully functioning members of society.

We believe the student should be challenged to think, act, communicate, and participate as a useful and morally responsible individual.  Through the development of these qualities, the student can acquire a desirable self-concept believing in one's self and working to one's full potential.
