Bullying Hotline: 276-644-4827

With an increasing awareness of bullying and its effects on students across the nation, we have established a Bullying Hotline for anonymous reporting of bullying incidents. We recognize that bullying is a problem in our school, and we are striving to address every single incident that is reported to us. We also understand that bullying often goes unreported for fear of a social stigma or even retribution.

Typically, bullying occurs in locations where supervision is decreased such as on the bus, in the locker room, cafeteria, hallways, other less visible areas. and even through social media. Therefore, it often remains undetected by teachers, principals, and other adults.

Bullying is different than typical childhood teasing, and the two can be confused. A person is bullied when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons, and he or she has difficulty defending himself or herself.

The following indicators can be helpful in determining if someone is being bullied:
  • Bullying is aggressive behavior that involves unwanted, negative actions.
  • Bullying involves a pattern of behavior repeated over time.
  • Bullying involves a real or perceived imbalance of power or strength.

If you are aware of bullying going on in our schools, please call 276-644-4827 and provide the following information:
  • The school and location where bullying is taking place.
  • The name(s) of the bully and the victim.
  • As much specific information that you can provide.
  • Any other information that will help us put a stop to this activity.
  • Thanks for helping us keep our school safe!
