Owen Wilson - State Finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award

Virginia High School is proud to announce that Owen Wilson is a state finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.  State winners will win $1,000 and the national winner receives $10,000.  Finalists are chosen based on their GPA, leadership skills, participation in recognized athletics and outstanding role model characteristics. 

Owen is a senior with a 4.42 GPA, serves as a student representative to the school board, is a member of the Scholastic Bowl Team and has completed over 200 hours of community service.  He has competed on the VHS Cross Country, Swim and Tennis Teams.  He has 14 state medals in swimming, a variety of honors from athletics and named to All-State Chorus.  Recently, he was named as Virginia’s Champion for receiving a perfect score on the Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2016 exam and will compete in the Certiport’s 2017 MOS U.S. National Championship in Florida this summer and is an alternate for the UVA Jefferson Scholars Program.
