TUITION AUTHORIZATION

The Bristol Virginia Public School Division may admit a student and charge tuition who:

(1)        Is a non-resident of Bristol, Virginia;

(2)        Is temporarily living with a non-parent who resides within the school division; or

(3)        Is attending a school in the division pursuant to a foreign student exchange program approved by the Bristol Virginia School Board.

The school division may allow admission as a tuition student if all of the following conditions are satisfied:

•  Class enrollment at the requested school is such to allow the addition of tuition placement(s);
   

• The student is in good standing for academics, behavior, and attendance (including tardies);
   

•  Parent(s) has completed the division Tuition Request; and
   

• Upon approval has paid the required tuition.

Tuition placements must be approved annually.  A new Tuition Request must be submitted each year.  The application/request may be secured by contacting the Department of Student Services and Special Education or by clicking here:  Tuition Request
